
The 26-year-old man who was arrested at a Commission on Elections checkpoint at the Murcia Road in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, has a pending case for alleged rape.
The police said alias “Romnick”, a resident of Brgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, was discovered to have a warrant of arrest for alleged rape after a background check conducted by the police.
The warrant against Romnick was issued on March 17, 2021.
Romnick and alias “Aljon” were arrested by operatives of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company after they allegedly dropped a transparent sachet containing suspected shabu.
The police seized 0.5 gram of suspected shabu and a 10-inch knife from them.
Charges will be filed against the suspects for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, COMELEC Order 358, and Batas Pambansa Bilang 6 for Illegal Possession of Bladed, Pointed, or Blunt Weapon, the police said.*
