A 36-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hacked several times in Bais City, Negros Oriental, on Wednesday, May 13.
The victim was identified only as Rocky, a resident of Brgy. Talungon, Bais City.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Joce,” a resident of Brgy. Lapaz.
Initial investigation showed the victim was drinking with his friends at the New Cemetery in Brgy. Lapaz when the suspect arrived.
Authorities said the suspect approached the victim and hacked him several times on different parts of his body.
The suspect fled after the incident.
Police have launched a hot pursuit operation for his arrest.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack.*
