Magayon Hinuptanan fest kicks off in Moises Padilla 

Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia Yulo (right) and  Negros Occidental  Board Member  Rita Gatuslao cut the ribbon to open the Lechon Festival and  Nilaga-an Village.* 

The 2024  Magayon Hinuptanan Festival of Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental  kicked off Friday, March 15, and will run until March 19. 

Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia Yulo lauded the full cooperation of  the 15 barangays of the town who participated in the opening program. 

The newest addition to the festival is the  Nilaga-an Village. 

The town being the livestock capital of the province  is also known for its tasty “Nilaga”  (pork or beef stew), Yulo said.. 

A Lechon Festival was also held. 

Yulo  and  Negros Occidental  Board Member  Rita Gatuslao cut the ribbon to open the Lechon Festival and  Nilaga-an Village. 

They also opened the Agro-Trade Fair that showcases the  agricultural products of the town. 

During the opening program the 15 candidates of the  Magayon Hinuptanan Festival Queen pageant were also presented. 

Rep. Emilio Yulo III (Neg. Occ., 5th District) congratulated the local officials headed by  Yulo for the successful holding of the event on Friday.*
