Luk Foo Palace opens in Bacolod, offers authentic Cantonese cuisine

The Luk Foo Palace, famous for its   authentic Cantonese cuisine,  officially opened at the   Acacia Hotel compound at the Reclamation Area in Bacolod City  on Valentine’s Day,   Feb. 14.

“Luk Foo Palace  is, and has always been synonymous with authentic Cantonese cuisine,  rich in tradition and culinary excellence”, John Alonte, BREDCO president, said.

Alonte, in  his speech at the opening of the restaurant, said he was speaking in behalf of  Lucio Co, BREDCO and Acacia Hotel Bacolod’s principal owner,  and his minority partners   Willy Au and himself.

He said the   Luk Foo Palace cuisine at its Bacolod branch    was expertly  crafted and overseen by Jimmy Chon, head executive chef from Hong Kong.

Among the guests at  the grand opening were Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, Bacolod Rep.  Greg Gasataya , Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and the city councilors.*
