LTO-NIR records 23 violations during road safety operation

The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region recorded 23 traffic violations during a road safety enforcement operation on Tuesday, May 26.

LTO-NIR said the operation also resulted in the issuance of 20 Temporary Operator’s Permits.

Among the violations recorded were reckless driving, unregistered motor vehicles, driving without a license, illegal parking, colorum operation, failure to carry official receipt and certificate of registration, unauthorized operation, and safety violations involving helmets and side mirrors.

Authorities also impounded one motorcycle and a motor vehicle during the operation.

Two vehicle plates were also confiscated.

LTO-NIR OIC Regional Director Jeck Conlu said they will continue strengthening road safety enforcement across the region.

The agency reminded motorists to comply with traffic laws and vehicle regulations to help ensure safer roads.*
