Vice President Leni Robredo and her runningmate Kiko Pangilinan are all set for a provincewide campaign in Negros Occidental that will be capped by a star-studded grand people’s rally at the Paglaum Stadium in Bacolod City on Friday, March 11.
Robredo’s campaign will kick off with a rally at the open court of the Bishop’s Compound in San Carlos City in northern Negros Occidental at 7:45 a.m. where she will be joined by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
The vice president and Pangilinan will then join a rally at the government center in Sagay City at 9:45 a.m. where they will be joined by Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva (Neg. Occ., 2nd District) and Sagay Mayor Alfredo Marañon III.
The vice president will then proceed to Kabankalan City for a rally at the Kabankalan Catholic College at 11:35 a.m. where she will be joined by Mayor Pedro Zayco.
She will also visit a Community Learning Hub in Barangay Caradio-an in Himamaylan City, and proceed to the Binalbagan Catholic College in Binalbagan City at 1:55 p.m. for a rally.
Robredo will make a whistlestop at the the Hinigaran Public Plaza where she will deliver a message while onboard a pink truck, and proceed to La Carlota City for a 3:55 p.m. rally.
Her sorties throughout Negros Occidental will be capped by a grand people’s rally at the Pagalum Stadium in Bacolod City where she will be joined by the governor.
The pre program for the grand rally will start at 3:30 p.m. and the program will start at 5 p.m., and will be capped by a street party along Lacson and Hernaez streets.
Megastar Sharon Cuneta top bills the list of celebrities and entertainers who confirmed their presence at the grand rally.
Cuneta is expected to introduce Pangilinan, her husband and the vice presidential candidate.
Joining the megastar are homegrown talents, Kuh Ledesma, Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro and The Company.
Alternative rock band Rivermaya earlier announced that they will be performing in the Bacolod grand rally. Pop-rock band Gracenote and alternative rock band Mayonnaise will also be in attendance.
Other celebrities who confirmed their attendance are Edu Manzano, actress Agot Isidro, singer Kyla, rapper Curtismith, DJ Joey, Janina Vela, multi-talented Gab Valenciano, actress-singer Nikki Valdez, comedians Mama Loi, Dyosa Pockoh and Ogie Diaz, Philippine Idol Jeli Mateo, Justine Peña, Tippy Dos Santos, and Nica del Rosario.*
