Former vice president Leni Robredo will be in Bacolod City for two events on Tuesday, May 23, Rafael Coscolluela, former Negros Occidental governor, said on Sunday.
Robredo will be the keynote speaker at the Paghimud-os Negros Inc. 1st General Assembly at 11:30 a.m. and will launch the book “Tayo ang Liwanag” at 2 p.m. at the Acacia Hotel Bacolod pavilion, he said.
Paghimud-os Negros is a civil society organization that started as an issue-based coalition in 2018, and was eventually registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2023, Coscolluela, who is its chairman, said.
Paghimud-os will hold its first general assembly and membership orientation on Tuesday to discuss how to move forward as a force for positive change, he said.
The coffee table book “Tayo ang Liwanag” features photos and stories of volunteerism and of those who supported Robredo’s presidential campaign in 2022.*
