The La Consolacion College in Bacolod City will hold its 73rd Alumni Homecoming on Saturday, September 3, two years after its last celebration during its Centennial Year in 2019, laywer Benilda Abrasia-Tejada, alumni association president, said.
This year’s lead Sponsoring Batch is the the Silver Jubilarian Batch of 1997.
Aside from the Grand Cultural Show on September 3, also organized are pre-homecoming activities such as a basketball tournament , Zumba dance sessions and the OPM Night with bands composed of alumni, among others.
In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the alumni in the various categories of their endeavor, Abrasia-Tejada said awards for 10 Outstanding Alumni will be given.
The ten are Coast Guard Capt. Christine Pauline B. Diciano, Salvador Benedicto Vice Mayor Nehemias de la Cruz Jr., Dr. Gloria Villafuerte-Tinio, Charie Ginete-Ilon, Cynthia T. Flores, Alfredo O. Gonzales II, Sr. Magdalena Tallafer, Karlo Martin Gerasmo, Souzette Agudelo and Nemesio “Mike” Vasquez Jr.
In gratitude for their unselfish and dedicated mentoring as faculty members of LCC for a good number of years and making an impact on the lives of the alumni, the Alumni Association, for the first time this year, will award tokens of appreciation to the first batch of faculty members, Abrasia-Tejada also said.
The faculty members are Modesto P. Sa-onoy, Verobina A. Sa-onoy, AR Jesus Dureza, Mahal Nabor-Dureza, Wilfredo “Bamboo” Tonogbanua, Perfecto N. Paderna Jr., Lina J. Hilado, Lilia R. Tacardon, Juan B. Basio, Lina Sedonio, Imelda H. Tuble, Carmelita Dormido Santillana and Bernardita Dormido-Piamonte.
The highlight of the Alumni Homecoming is the Grand Cultural Show in the evening of September 3, with this year’s theme: Masinadya Kita sa LCC Masquerade Celebration.
The show will be participated in by the Jubilarian batches, Batch 1997 (Silver), 1972 (Golden), 1982 (Ruby), 1992 (Pearl), 1995 and special participation of the Board of Directors group.*
