
Five men from Isabela, Negros Occidental, were arrested during an entrapment operation in Bacolod City after authorities uncovered an illegal butane refilling activity valued at over P1.3 million.
The operation was led by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Negros Island Region operatives with Bacolod Police Station 5 cops at Hacienda Elisa, Brgy. Granada on Tuesday, July 29.
Arrested were Tim Lindayao, 31, Jonathan Pinoy, 28, Genovevo Lindayao, 23, Eman Anes, 23, and Noli Cabrillos, 26, of Isabela town.
Seized during the operation were dozens of butane canisters and paraphernalia used in alleged illegal liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) refilling, valued at P1,320,000.
The suspects will be facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1865, as amended by Republic Act 11592 or the LPG Industry Regulation Act.
The case was filed before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday, the CIDG said reported.*
