Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson distributed P6 million in checks for the implementation of various projects in the different barangays of Negros Occidental Monday, April 5.
The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City attended by the punong barangays and LGU authorized representatives.
The beneficiary barangays were Brgy. 5, San Carlos City; Brgys. Banquerohan, Mabini, Daga, and Zone 6, Cadiz City; Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City; Brgy. Burgos, Pontevedra; Brgys. Zone 4, Zone 1A, Zone 4A, Mabini, and Palaka Norte, Pulupandan; Brgys. Sag-ang and Nato, La Castellana; Brgys. 4 Poblacion and Sikatuna, Isabela; Brgys. Pinggot, Ilog; Brgy. Banga, Candoni; and Brgys. Orong and Tabugon, Kabankalan City, a press release from the Capitol said.
The projects include construction of water systems, purchase of rescue vehicles, construction of perimeter fence, rehabilitation of barangay hall, construction of lined canal, construction of bridge sidewalk, purchase of IT equipment and office furniture, construction of open concrete bleachers, repair of multi-purpose vehicle, swine raising project, and installation of solar powered streetlights.
