A 48-year-old man was found dead and is believed to have been shot in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, on Tuesday night, April 7.
Police identified the victim as Wenyo Ison, a resident of La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Authorities said the victim was discovered in Barangay Mabigo after a concerned citizen reported a lifeless body Wednesday morning.
Initial investigation showed the victim was on his way to his employer’s house when an unidentified suspect suddenly shot him.
Police recovered a .45 caliber slug and two empty shells at the crime scene.*
