Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson emphasized the importance of a unified Negros Association of Chief Executives (Negros ACE) in his message to its newly elected president, Cadiz Mayor Salvador Escalante.

“I told him to keep Negros ACE united because when we are united, we can accomplish many things,” Lacson said on Sunday, July 13.

Negros ACE is an association comprising the 32 mayors of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.

Lacson assured the organization of the provincial government’s continued cooperation and assistance.

Escalante said on Friday that the Negros ACE will work towards forging closer ties with their counterparts in Negros Oriental and Siquijor. This initiative aims to foster a more cohesive Negros Island Region, a move welcomed by Lacson, who also underscored the need for a united NIR.*
