
Kabankalan City’s chief of police received a special award from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during 123rd Police Service Anniversary at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, on Thursday, August 8.
The president handed the award to Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr. for Most Number of Arrests on Drugs by the Kabankalan City Component Police Station.
He was one of three police officers from Western Visayas who received recognition during the celebration in Camp Crame, which was also attended by Police Regional Office-6 Director BGen. Jack Wanky.
Indiape said that he is honored to receive the recognition from the president, adding that this is a testament of hard work and dedication of the police who are committed to eradicating drug-related crimes in Kabankalan.
Wanky commended the awardees from the region for their exemplary work and bringing honor to Western Visayas.
This also served as an inspiration to fellow police officers to be more dedicated and passionate in enforcing the law and PNP’s mandate towards attaining peace, he added.*
