Celebrated Filipino professional golfer Juvic Pagunsan is set to headline this year’s annual Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara golf tournament.
The event will take place from July 18-20 at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club.
Pagunsan, known for his elegant swing and competitive composure, brings a wealth of experience and star power to the three-day tournament, a press release from the club said.
His impressive career includes significant amateur victories in the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia.
After turning pro in 2006, he quickly made his mark, earning the Asian Tour Rookie of the Year award and securing notable titles such as the 2007 Pertamina Indonesia President Invitational and the 2021 Gateway to The Open Mizuno Open.
With 25 professional wins under his belt, Pagunsan’s participation is expected to make this year’s tournament an unforgettable experience for all, the press release said.
“We’re honored to welcome Juvic to this year’s fundraiser,” said Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara President April Kitagawa.
“This event is more than just a celebration of sport; it’s an opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to contribute to meaningful change in the lives of others”, she added.
Registration for the tournament opens on Friday at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club.
The entry fee is P3,500, which covers green fees, gimmes, and the awards dinner.
Mulligans will be available for purchase at P500 each.
Participants will also have the chance to win exciting prizes throughout the event.
Tournament directors Mike Bantug and Archie Acuña are overseeing the preparations to ensure a weekend filled with smooth swings and spirited camaraderie.*PR
