Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez said he still has not moved on after his break up with actress Sue Ramirez.
When asked about his status during a Movie and Television Review and Classification Board seminar in Victorias City on Sunday, Nov. 17, Benitez said that he remains to be “under construction”.
The 29-year old actor turned politician even took to social media addressing rumors of a third party that caused the break up.
“There were no outside forces, just two hearts finding their way together,” he posted on Facebook.
Even his father, Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez commended him for handling his relationship with no bitterness.
Four months after breaking their silence, the actress appeared in a video kissing another man at a bar that went viral on social media.
Benitez stressed that he and Ramirez parted peacefully, adding that he was expecting rumors to surface as local elections near.
“We had a good talk. We both respect each other,” he said. But when asked if he had moved past his relationship with Ramirez, he could not deny that he still has not.
Benitez said he will hold a block screening of the movie “The Kingdom” starring Vic Sotto, Piolo Pascual, Sue Ramirez and Cristine Reyes.
Benitez said he will invite Ramirez and he hopes she comes.*
