Jalandoni elected Red Cross governor

Former Silay vice mayor Francis Joseph “Jay” Jalandoni was elected governor of the Philippine Red Cross at their 34th Biennial National Convention (BNC) held in Mandaluyong City on Monday, April 28.

Nine members of the Board of Governors were elected and Jalandoni of the Philippine Red Cross Negros Occidental – Bacolod City Chapter had the second most votes, the PRC announced.

In the number one slot was former senator Richard Gordon.

Other winners were Maria Rachel J. Arenas, Oscar P. Palayab, Ernesto Isla, Regan Rex King, Danilo L. Concepcion, Edward Thomas Joson and Corazon Alma G. De Leon.

The oath of office was administered by Gov. Rodolfo O. Reyes, chairman of the 34th BNC NOMELEC. *
