About 389 persons deprived of liberty and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel yielded negative drug test results during greyhound operations conducted at the Bacolod and Silay City district jails in Negros Occidental, last week.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6 conducted a greyhound operation at the Metro Bacolod District Jail-Male Dorm within the Bacolod City Police Office Compound in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.
During their search operation, no illegal drugs were recovered and drug test conducted on140 PDLs and 59 jail personnel yielded negative drug test results.
Meanwhile, another greyhound operation was also conducted at the Silay City District Jail in Brgy. Mambulac, Silay City.
PDEA oversaw random drug testing of 45 BJMP personnel and 145 PDLs, which all yielded negative results.
The PDEA-6, in a press release, said the activity is aligned with the BJMP’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a drug-free jail facility.*
