‘I have a calling from God’, Delfinado says on run for rep

It is a mother and son team for former Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development assistant secretary, Lea Delfinado, who is running for representative of the 4th District of Negros Occidental.

Delfinado filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for representative of the 4th District as member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition with her son Leo Carlo Delfinado who is running for Board Member of the 4th District under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas before the Commission on Elections at the Social Hall of the Capitol on Saturday, Oct. 5.

She said her 37 years of service in the Department of Public Works and Highways and the DHSUD has given her the experience to bring progress and development of the 4th District.

On her retirement she saw that there are still a lot of things that need to be done to improve the 4th District that made her decide to run of representative of the district, Delfinado said.

”I have a calling from God to serve and help the people so I decided to run,” she said.

Aside from her being endorsed by Lisa Cojuangco Cruz and Claudia Cojuangco she also has alliances with mayoral candidates in the fourth district, she said.

She said her son who is running for board member is a licensed civil and sanitary
engineer.

Leo Carlo Delfinado said he had no specific plans for now but everything he does is for the people of the 4th District.*
