Human skeletal remains were found inside a sugarcane field at Hacienda Bernabe 2 in Brgy. Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental, on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 18.
The farm overseer reported the discovery to the Murcia Police Station after a worker found the skeletal remains while cutting sugarcane.
Authorities said the bones appeared to be part of a human skeleton, though the remains have yet to be identified.
The Murcia Police Station has requested assistance from the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit to process the scene and conduct further examination to determine the cause and circumstances of death.*
