Rep. Ma. Lourdes Arroyo (Neg. Occ., 5th District) led the inauguration of the retrofitting/strengthening of the Hinigaran Bridge in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, Friday, January 29.

The P30.2 million infrastructure project will bring more progress to Hinigaran, Arroyo said during the inauguration.

“Bridges play a vital role in the economy since bridges connect places and people, and make it possible for goods to be transported and services to be rendered. The strengthening of this bridge will surely benefit the people of Hinigaran and bring more development to the municipality,” Arroyo said.

Also present at the inauguration rites were Hinigaran Mayor Nadie Arceo, Vice Mayor Teresita Gabrido, Councilors Mary Grace Arceo, Hadji Trojillo, Oscar Yulo and Assistant District Engineer Ade Roderick Turingan of the Department of Public Works and Highways.*
