Himamaylan City Mayor Raymund Tongson said his office will launch enhanced programs for the school year and vowed to give teachers an additional P1,000 as holiday cash gifts in December.

Tongson, during his message at the Himamaylan National High School 3rd State of the Learner Government Address and Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, October 25, said his office will maximize academic, sports, and culture and arts programs to benefit students who have been affected by the pandemic.

Tongson also said all teachers will receive an additional P1,000 on top of their holiday cash gifts this December.

“We are going to try to maximize the programs and projects for the younger generation, for the entire Himamaylan NHS, and DepEd family of Himamaylan City this incoming year,” the mayor said.*
