The city engineer of Himamaylan was injured after he was shot Thursday, November 24, outside his house in Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The victim, identified as 54-year-old Vicente Genova, was cleaning his car when he was approached by two men.
He was asked if he was Engineer Genova and when he answered, he was immediately shot three times by the suspects.
Genova was hit with a bullet in his leg.
He was immediately taken to a hospital.
The police are currently investigating the motive behind the attack on the engineer.*
