High-value drug target fallsnwith P3.4M in shabu – PNP

A high-value drug target was arrested with P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Magatas, Sibulan, Negros Oriental, on Sunday, February 4, the police reported.

Arrested was alias “Rea”, 36, of Purok 3, Brgy. Magatas, the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office said.

Recovered from her was 504 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street drug of P3,427,200, it added.

The operation was conducted by NOPPO’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Sibulan Municipal Police Station.

The police said that the suspect is known to be a drug user in the area and had been allegedly in contact with an unidentified person from the Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City who “directs her where and when to deliver the illegal drugs”.

NOPPO also said that the suspect allegedly confessed to having regularly disposed of 500 grams of shabu per transaction from Bacolod City.

Central Visayas Police Regional Director, BGen. Anthony Aberin, lauded the operation which he said affected the drug supply in Negros Oriental.

PRO-7 will also pursue criminal charges against the suspect for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, the NOPPO said.*
