
Negros Occidental and Bacolod City are ready to administer the third dose or booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine on health care workers starting Wednesday, November 17.
However, they were waiting for the National Vaccine Operations Center’s booster shot guidelines, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz and Dr. Chris Sorongon, Bacolod Emergency Operations Center deputy said, Tuesday.
The Department of Health in a public advisory recommended Moderna, Pfizer, and Sinovac as booster doses regardless of the brand used in the primary series.
The use of a third dose has yet to be approved for the general population.*
