Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson wished Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez the strength to continue the changes that he has envisioned for Bacolod City on his 57th birthday on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
Lacson, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz and the mayors of Negros Occidental joined the “salubong” at the Bacolod City Government Center Tuesday night to usher in the mayor’s birthday at midnight.

The governor said he wishes Benitez good health and wisdom as he continues to lead Bacolod City.
He looks forward to continued collaboration between the provincial government and the City of Bacolod, Lacson said.
Lacson said he also wishes the mayor a good holiday.

The governor also said: “When I pray I always ask the Lord to continue to bless the province of Negros Occidental with happy, healthy and prosperous people”.
That is also his wish for the Negrenses this Christmas, Lacson said.
“I wish my love life will always be there”, Lacson also said in jest, when asked what his Christmas wish for himself will be.*
