Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson turned over P22 million to 110 barangays in Negros Occidental for the implementation of various projects at rites held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City on Tuesday morning, August 22.
The barangays received P200, 000 each and their officials were given a free hand to choose the projects they need, Lacson said.
The projects include solar street lights, water systems, multi-purpose vehicles, multi-purpose buildings, garbage collection vehicles, drainage systems, daycare centers, covered courts and health centers.
The checks were received by the barangay captains and authorized representatives.*
