Guv signs 2nd scholarship agreement in Australia

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Alana Kaye College for another “Study Now, Pay Later Scholarship Program” for Negrense students in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

Under the program, scholarship grantees from Negros Occidental will study early childhood and care at Alana Kaye College in Darwin for two years, he said.
The governor signed the MOA with Alana Kaye College CEO Alana Anderson, with Philippine Honorary Consul to the Northern Territory, Januario Rivas, and Negros Occ. Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz as witnesses on Thursday, November 10.

The scholarship grant, supervised by the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program Division, covers tuition and other school fees while studying.

Earlier last week Lacson also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the International College of Advance Education for a “Study Now, Pay Later” scholarship program also in Darwin.

The recipients of the scholarship will be students in the field of hospitality, tourism, and cookery.

Lacson also visited the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre in Darwin.

It showcases the Australian government’s disaster and emergency medical response. It also provides clinical and academic leadership training in disaster and trauma care, and international education.*
