Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the inauguration of a P25,269,340 multi-level parking area at the provincial government’s Motorpool Compound at Gatuslao Street in Bacolod City, Thursday morning, Aug. 29.

It can accommodate 114 vehicles, the governor said.

The provincial government’s service vehicles under the Capitol Cab system and those of its employees will be allowed to use the parking facility, the governor said.

The Capitol Cab is a ride-hailing service that handles the travel needs of provincial government employees on official business

The multi-level facility will decongest the parking area in front of the Capitol that is always full, Lacson said.

It will also address the problem of the Capitol employees having to park on the side of the road, Lacson added.

The parking facility has a floor area of 3,000 square meters and a lot area of 1,500 square meters.*
