Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson on Monday, Dec. 18, signed a memorandum of agreement with a US-based non-profit corporation that will conduct a survey on the poverty situation in nine pilot local government units in Negros Occidental.
The socio-economic panel survey will cover Binalbagan, Calatrava, Candoni, Cauayan, EB Magalona, Hinigaran, Hinoba-an, llog and Isabela, Lacson said.
The survey will be a guide for the concerned LGUs on how to deal with the poverty situation in their areas, he said.
The MOU was signed by Lacson and Innovations for Poverty Action, a non-profit corporation located in Washington DC, USA.*
