Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is initially eyeing the use of 7,000 square meters of prime land owned by the provincial government at Cottage Road in Bacolod City for a BPO Center through a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

The site is where the Philippine Veterans Bank, Boys Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) buildings are located, Lacson said on Friday, September 15 .

The PPP would enable the provincial government to generate income for various projects of the province, Lacson said.

The LTO office has been transferred to Manayawsayaw in Barangay Mansilingan, while the Philippine Veterans Bank will move to the old Provincial Technology and Livelihood Development Center office and the BSP will transfer to another area, he said.

The provincial government is also recovering the site of the Women’s Center that is no longer being used, which is next to the Philippine Veterans Bank, Lacson added.*
