
Several vehicles were damaged after three hand grenades were thrown at a rent-a-car shop in Bangga Salgado, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, early Tuesday morning, Oct. 14.
Two unidentified suspects on a motorcycle threw the grenades toward the garage area of the shop owned by Ranion Garingo, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported.
The explosion damaged multiple parked cars.
Responding authorities from the Bacolod City Explosives and Canine Unit (CECU) recovered two unexploded grenades at the scene, which were safely secured for proper disposal.
PCapt. Greeky Cayao, commander of Police Station 8, said investigators are now determining the motive behind the grenade attack.
He said they are reviewing CCTV footage from the establishment to help identify the suspects and establish the motive.
No injuries were reported in the incident.*
