Greg’s birthday wish: Power, internet, water restoration

Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya*

Mayor Greg Gasataya, who turned 55 on Wednesday, Nov. 19, wished for the speedy restoration of electricity, internet, and 24/7 water supply to all Bacolod City households, and continued good health for everyone.

PLDT has asked to be allowed to assign a person at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) lobby to address complaints and concerns related to their service, he said.

“We are opening the BCGC Lobby for all telco providers willing to establish a Help Desk “ Gasataya said.

“We are more than willing to provide a space that will serve as a direct channel for concerns, updates, service restoration timelines, and on-the-spot assistance,” he said.

The mayor encouraged all telecommunications providers to participate so they can provide residents with accessible and reliable support.

“In this time of need, transparent and timely communication is the foundation of effective response,” he said.

The mayor said for reports on service issues, residents can fill up the form at this link bit.ly/BCGCTelcoHelp and the city government will help follow up their concerns.

Gasataya also said with many online professionals reaching out for support as households continue to experience no internet connectivity, they are extending the BCGC Co-Working Space that will be open from 7 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. until Friday.

Those interested to use the space can register at tinyurl.com/BCGCCoWorkingSpace, the mayor said.*
