Grab Philippines is upbeat about Bacolod’s economy as it emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic and is looking to expand its operations in the city.
This was disclosed by Grab country public relations head Arvi Lopez and Western Visayas regional manager Jo-ann Yoshida on Friday, October 21.
Grab has created more than a thousand livelihood opportunities for Grab taxi, car and delivery drivers, and merchant partners in Bacolod and aims to further expand, Yoshida said.
Yoshida said they had 400 Grab cars and taxis servicing Bacolodnons but they dropped to 150 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are now aiming to add 50 Grab cars and taxis by November and about 150 to 200 next year, she said.
They are looking for 2020 to 2023 car models to join Grab, Yoshida said.
She said they are grateful to Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Benitez who has promised to help them in their efforts.
Grab Bacolod makes 4,000 to 5,000 food deliveries a day, she said
Lopez thanked the Bacolodnons for their support for Grab and assured that they will continue to improve their platform and services for everyone to enjoy.*
