Go visits health centers in Neg. Occ., Bacolod

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go during the weekend visited some Super Health Centers funded through his office and distributed assistance in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City. 

Go, Senate Committee on Health and Demography chairman, said, of the 600 Super Health Centers all over the country, Negros Occidental is the recipient of 31. 

The latest to be constructed are located in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City,  Himamaylan City and Victorias City which were visited by Go during the weekend. 

A super health center is a medium-type of polyclinic that has dental, laboratory, X-ray, birthing, and other medical services, Go said, which will help decongest hospitals 

Go was also the guest speaker at the Talaba Festival in Ilog town on Saturday. 

On Sunday he distributed Emergency Housing Assistance Program payouts to 45 fire-affected families from barangays Taculing and VI in Bacolod City with Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez. 

Go also distributed food packs, snacks, vitamins, facemasks, shirts and basketball and volleyball balls.  

He also visited the construction site of a Super Health Center in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod.*
