Globe has deployed alternative power systems in key areas to temporarily restore connectivity where possible, the firm said on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
“Globe is one with Bacolod and all Typhoon ‘Tino’ affected communities in the province,” it said.
“The typhoon caused extensive damage to electrical posts that support critical infrastructure, including the lines our network depends on. As a result, many areas across the city are experiencing connectivity disruptions, and we understand how deeply this affects daily life,” it added.
While Globe has deployed alternative power systems full network restoration remains closely tied to the repair and stabilization of the city’s power infrastructure, Globe said.
“We continue to work hand in hand with local electric cooperatives and government units to ensure restoration of service very soon,” it said.
Globe appealed to the people of Bacolod and Negros Occidental for patience as “we do all things possible to restore connectivity in the area”.*
