May is always a special time of the year to celebrate flowers and nature’s beauty. And the Negros Occidental Garden Club did just that at its recent general assembly held at the Acacia Hotel in Bacolod City.
The club’s Sampaguita Group hosted the celebration that included a program of non-stop presentations and entertainment, a press release from the club said.
Lope ‘Nonoy’ Napao, horticulturist and club president, gave an engaging presentation on the ever-beautiful Philippine mussaenda flowering shrub, a plant which symbolizes stability and balance. It’s one of the most sought-after tropical shrubs because of its tremendous beauty that can turn any drab corner into a stunning paradise.
With the serious business over it was time for members to sit back, relax and enjoy the Sampaguita Group’s energetic and fast-paced musical numbers and dance performances. An afternoon of celebration, pleasure and entertainment.*
