The Land Transportation Office in the Negros Island Region has issued a show cause order to a foreign national who is under investigation for alleged license fraud and safety concerns,
The driver allegedly falsified his nationality details in the Land Transportation Management System to obtain a driver’s license, an LTO NIR statement on Wednesday, April 15, disclosed.
Authorities also found a case linking him to a court-issued protection order due to alleged threats of violence.
The individual is also reportedly facing a deportation charge and is included in the Bureau of Immigration watchlist.
The LTO directed the driver to explain within five days why the license should not be revoked and why sanctions should not be imposed.
The agency said the move aims to protect public safety and ensure only qualified and law-abiding individuals are allowed to drive.*
