Prolonged heavy rain triggered flooding and traffic that ground to a near standstill in some areas of Bacolod City on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The flooding was reported in 11 barangays, and 41 residents IN Brgy 3 and 65 in Brgy Villamonte evacuated, a Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office report showed.
Affected by flooding were barangays 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 19, 20, Mandalagan and Villamonte, the report said.
Heavy flooding also occurred at SM City and Robinsons Place Bacolod.
Traffic was at a near standstill at Lacson Street and the Bacolod Public Plaza where stalls have been set up for the MassKara Festival.*
