The Bacolod Commission on Elections is trying to salvage documents, including supplies that were soaked during a flood that hit its office at San Juan Street on Sunday.
Bacolod City Election Officer Kathrina Trinio-Caña said some of the documents were no longer readable but they were trying to save the rest.
Most of the documents affected were those of deactivated voters but records had already been inputted into the Comelec data base.
Sunday was the second time the Comelec Bacolod office was flooded. It was also flooded shortly before the elections last year, Caña said.
She has already spoken to Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Benitez about the transfer of their office to another location, Caña added.*
