A fisherman drowned while fishing at the coast of Sitio Hospital Site, Brgy. Bacuyangan, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, Tuesday morning, March 11.
The victim was identified only as alias “Kevin”, 25, of Purok Gumamela, Brgy. Talacagay, Hinoba-an.
The victim with his three friends went fishing using a fishing bow and a heavy lift tied on their waists, the police said.
When they were about to go home, the victim was left behind and struggled to untie the heavy lift which weighed about 5 kilograms causing his drowning.
His friends called for help to search for him and he was rushed to the Eleuterio Decena Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead.*
