Two co-workers were killed after they shot each other following an alleged altercation during a team building activity at Campoquino Resort, Barangay 4, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Saturday, July 10.
Killed were Fernando Silanga, 46, of Taguig City, Metro Manila, and Garry Labrador, 46, of Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City.
Maj. James Latayon Jr., acting Sipalay City police chief, said that Silanga was singing at a videoke when he had an altercation with Labrador, who then shot him.
This prompted Silanga to retaliate and also shoot his co-worker.
Silanga was brought to Sipalay City Infirmary but he was declared dead on arrival, while Labrador died on the spot.
Several fired cartridges of a .45 caliber pistol and a 9mm pistol were recovered from the crime scene, but the firearms were not found, the police report showed.
Both were said to be bodyguards of a businessman.*
