
A house and a police outpost were destroyed in two separate fire incidents on New Year’s Day in Bacolod City.
A house in Brgy. Mansilingan and a police outpost made of nipa along the new economic highway in Brgy. Sum-ag were destroyed by fire early Monday morning, January 1, the Bacolod City Fire Station reported.
The house owned by Melda and Rolan Pagunsan in Purok Manayaw-Sayaw, Brgy. Mansilingan, was hit by fire at 12:25 a.m. and destroyed within minutes.
Estimated damage was placed at P12,500 with no injuries or deaths.
Meanwhile, an outpost made of nipa owned by the Bacolod City Police Office was hit by fire at 12:56 a.m. of Jan. 1 and damage was estimated at
P5,250.
The causes of the fire incidents are still being determined by the Bacolod City Fire Station investigators.*
