Four houses were destroyed and three were damaged in a fire allegedly caused by an electrical overload from too many devices plugged in one circuit in Purok Kasilingan, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, Wednesday, Aug. 21.
Bacolod Fire Station Chief Investigator FO2 Rolin Paulan told DIGICAST NEGROS that there were seven houses affected by the fire incident, mostly two-storey residential structures.
The fire damage was estimated at P768,810 and affected nine families.
Paulan said that their initial investigation shows there is a big possibility that the fire started from an electrical ignition in the bedroom of the house owned by Edna Sarmiento.
Jhamil Toga, 23, sustained burns in his left arm during the fire.*
