Fire destroys house, 1 injured in Banago

A man was injured during a fire that destroyed a house in Purok Bayanihan, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, on Saturday, January 27.

The house owned by Imelda Caponong was hit by fire at about 10:15 a.m., the Bacolod Fire Station reported on Sunday.

Mario Lubrico, 20, was injured on his left knee while helping extinguish the fire.

Total damage was estimated at P150,000 affecting two families.

Fire Arson Investigator FO2 Anthony Val Isansa told DIGICAST NEGROS that they are still investigating the cause of the incident.

Isansa said that they turned over P200,000 in paper bills that were partially burned to the owner of the house.

The money was owned by Emmanuel Isansa, son of the house owner, he said.*
