A 46-year-old farmer died after being gored by his own carabao while feeding the animal at Crossing Martisan, Brgy. Burgos, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, early Monday morning, Sept. 8.
Police investigation revealed that the farmer, whose name was not disclosed, was attending to his carabao when it suddenly went wild and attacked him, fatally goring him on the left side of his chest.
Relatives immediately rushed the victim to the Cadiz City District Hospital, but he was declared dead by the attending physician.
The incident was reported to the Cadiz City police by the victim’s wife.
The police classified the case as an animal attack, with no signs of foul play.*
