A farm caretaker discovered a vintage bomb while plowing a sugarcane field in Stop Otso, Brgy. Burgos, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, April 12.
Alias “Elmer”, 36, of Brgy. Estado, Victorias, discovered the bomb, the police said.
The tractor he was driving hit a metal object that turned out to be a vintage bomb.
Elmer was brought to a safe place while the police sought the help of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel to dispose of the bomb.*
