A former inmate was shot dead by still unidentified suspects in Barangay 13, Bacolod City, Monday, April 26.
Police identified the fatality as 52-year-old Benvienido Gellanga of Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Based on the initial police investigation, the suspect suffered bullet wounds in the different parts of his body after he was shot multiple times by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects along Luzuriaga Street, which was 600 meters away from a police station.
The victim was jailed for homicide in 2012 and was released from prison in 2018, the police said.
The police have yet to establish the motive for the killing.*
