Farm animals evacuated out of the Kanlaon Volcano danger zone are getting help from the private sector.
Businessman and inventor Ramon Uy supervised the unloading of shredder and chopping machine in La Castellana, Negros Occidental, for the use in the production of silage for the carabaos, cows goats, and other livestock at a relocation site.
The animals have been relocated because of the ashfall from Kanlaon Volcano’s eruption.
The equipment was lent to the local government without any cost on their part, Uy said.
The help for the farm animals is supported by Villar Foundation, EcoAgri Development Foundation and RU Group of Companies, he said.*
