City Administrator Em Ang, executive director of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC)-Task Force, turns over 10 donated mobile phones to the market supervisors of the three major public markets in Bacolod City, and to the Bacolod Respiratory Outpatient (BRO) Center through OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., at the EOC Command Center today, February 11.

The mobile phones will be used to enhance the implementation of the BaCTrac System in the three major public markets of the city (Libertad Market, Central Market, and Burgos Market), as well as the BRO Center, a press release from the Bacolod Public Information Office said.

Joining the turnover ceremony were EOC deputies for medical Dr. Chris Sorongon and Dr. Anna Ma. Laarni Pornan, contact tracing head Dr. Rosalie Deocampo, and data management head Edrian Robete.

BaCTrac is a contact tracing system developed for efficient and expeditious contact tracing of confirmed COVID-19 positive patients in the city and, consequently, allow the EOC-TF to easily locate people suspected of having contact with COVID-19 patients, the press release said.*
