
Eight police officers were recognized by the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region for their exemplary performance and contributions to peace and order during an awarding ceremony at the PRO-NIR Administration Building in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas C. Ibay, PRO-NIR regional director, presented the awards.
Six police officers received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for their roles in high-risk operations that led to the arrest of the Region’s Top 1 and Top 2 Most Wanted Persons and a suspect charged with illegal possession of firearms.
They are Capt. Angelo Pancratius V. Cabrera and PSSg. Dawn Rey Tingcang of the Larena Police Station, Capt. Honey G. Labaro and PCMS Jorge Napilan of the Murcia Police Station, and Capt. John Paul Francisco with Pat Clemente Cabilen Jr. of the 3rd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion-NIR.
The Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to PMSg Glenphil Bohol for his contributions to the Regional Birth Records Evaluation Committee.
PCpl Mark Anthony Saratobias received the Medalya ng Papuri for voluntarily assisting in traffic management and helping victims at an accident site in Barangay Singcang-Airport while off duty.
